ABOUT US

Creating new perspectives for photography together.

Our dear friend Hendrik teNeues

Tribute to the publisher of teNeues Media – Hendrik teNeues.
Renowned photo book publisher Hendrik teNeues died in 2019 at the age of 67, leaving behind a distinctive life's work. The family business for calendars and stationery existed since 1931. Hendrik te Neues made it a leading international publishing house in 1983 with the founding of the teNeues Publishing Company in New York. Whether Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Robert Mapplethorpe, Bruce Weber or Jimmy Nelson – within just a few years, the teNeues publishing program became a magnet for an audience interested in art and culture.

The generated surplus is used for the promotion of young artists in the field of photography. Applications to support creative talent and innovative projects can be submitted to the Freundeskreis Hendrik teNeues throughout the year, independent of the NextGen Award. Peter Feierabend, publisher, has already supported many young artists as editor and book designer (e.g. teNeues, Taschen, Könemann, Dumont, National Geographic, Brandstätter) and created the book Hendrik teNeues – A life for art and aesthetics. A limited edition of this book is published in a gift box with a numbered and signed work by Sebastian Copeland.
